Alan Pulido was one of the MLS greatest appearances this year, after joining Sporting Kansas City and transforming himself into one of the best reinforcements of the year. SKC paid $9 million for him to Chivas and, so far, fans are delighted with his performances every weekend.

Until now, Pulido played 14 matches, scored seven goals and gave five assists, being nominee to the top signings of the year, an award that finally won Lucas Zelarayán. Such a moment makes Pulido be in the radar of some top teams and Spanish side Villarreal is looking forward to signing him during the next transfer window.

As it was reported, Villarreal is looking after him since a while and, soon, they could be trying to get him. If Pulidos leaves SKC then the MLS team will look to a replacement and one of the best options they have is Jonathan Rodríguez, the Uruguayan striker that plays for Liga MX side Cruz Azul.

Rodríguez is an attacker aged 27 who plays for Cruz Azul since he left Santos Laguna on January 2019. Previously he played at Atlético Florida, Peñarol, Benfica and RC Deportivo. After the end of the regular season of the Liga MX he finished as the top scorer and his conditions have been proved, so we consider him a great successor for Pulido.
