Not many players have had the kind of experience that Brazilian striker, Gabriel Barbosa has had. At the age of 20, after breaking so many records on his way to scoring 56 goals in just 154 appearances, he completed his move to Inter Milan in 2016. This was where the woes started.

At the Nerazzuri, he was able to score just 1 goal in 10 matches across the entire 2016-17 season. He was then sent on loan to the Primera Liga to play for Benfica. In Portugal, it was worse as he played just four times and not scoring one goal. His record In Europe read 1 goal in 2 years.

But Gabigol, as he is fondly called, is back amongst the goals again. In his first season back on loan in Brazil in 2018, he scored 27 goals in 53 matches for his former club Santos. He has since moved to Flamengo, first on-loan in 2019-20, and has scored a whopping 88 goals in just 119 matches, spread over 3 seasons.

This has alerted many Premier clubs to the Brazilian again. With clubs such as Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool all looking for more firepower this summer, there is said to e serious interest in the services of the sharpshooter from the Premier League. After a wretched 2 years in Europe, the Brazilian Gabigol might be on his way back to the limelight.
