Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are regarded as the two greatest footballers of all time. After nearly two decades of dominating the football scene, the two players are still the best-paid footballers in the world. Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr is paying big bucks for Ronaldo, while Inter Miami also has paid Messi one of the biggest wages in the world.

Sun Sport listed the top ten highest-paid footballers in the world, and the two icons of the game are at the top. The list includes other players in the Saudi League, while there are a few players from the Premier League. In 10th position, Sun Sport ranked Harry Kane from Bayern Munich. Kane earns nearly 30 million euros a year with a weekly salary of 415,000 euros. Kevin De Bruyne earns just over 30 million euros a year with a weekly salary of 450,000 euros.

In 8th position is the first player from the Saudi Pro League, Sadio Mane. Mane earns 40.9 million euros with a weekly salary of 650,000. Above him is his former Liverpool teammate, Mohamed Salah. Salah earns just over 41.7 million euros and has a 350,000 weekly salary. Although his weekly wage is lower than Mane's, Salah's deal with Adidas helps him overtake the Senegalese yearly earnings.

Erling Haaland earns the most in the Premier League with a 45.7 million yearly salary and occupies the 6th position on the top ten list. He earns a weekly salary of 400,000 euros. He has an expensive Nike deal that boosts him up the list, and being the cover of EAFC 24 helps as well. Overtaking him, though, is Karim Benzema, who earns 83.5 million yearly with Al-Ittihad. He still couldn't overtake the most-paid player in all of Europe, Kylian Mbappe, who ranks 4th on the list. Mbappe earns 86.7 million euros a year and could be offered more if he decides to stay at PSG.

In third place, Neymar makes the list after signing last summer to Al Hilal, earning 88.2 million euros and a weekly salary of 1.7 million. It is reported Al Hilal covers the costs of hotels, restaurants, and cities visited by the Brazilian. Lionel Messi earns 106.4 million euros or in the United States, $115.5 million dollars. Messi is given shares of the club while having a weekly salary of nearly $50 million dollars.

Ronaldo takes the top spot ahead of Messi with a yearly salary of 164 million euros. Ronaldo earns 204.9 million euros a year due to other side business that is close to 50 million euros.
