In England, the name of the top candidate to replace Jürgen Klopp at Liverpool has already been announced. The soccer world was surprised this Friday to hear from the mouth of Jürgen Klopp that he had made the decision not to continue as Liverpool manager after the end of the current season, something that had evidently already communicated to the club's management as it was from the institution's own official networks that the news was given.

Because of this prior knowledge of the situation, the Reds seemed to be already prepared to start the search for his replacement, as it did not take long for the names of the first candidates to appear in the English press, with Xabi Alonso, according to The Sun, being the favorite. The former Spanish midfielder spent five seasons with Liverpool, winning four titles, including the 2005 Champions League, before extending his sporting success with Real Madrid and Bayern Munich. He was also part of the golden generation of the Spanish national team that won the World Cup in South Africa in 2010 and was twice champion of the European Championship, in 2008 and 2012.
As a coach, he started with Real Sociedad's reserve team, a team in which he had also made his debut as a footballer, and won the title and promotion to the Spanish 2°B. His work, his school, catapulted him to Bayer Leverkusen, a team with which he is currently in his second season and which he has improved so significantly that he has taken them to the top of the Bundesliga, 4 points ahead of Bayern Munich.

Klopp's lesson
If Klopp generated a rivalry in this period it was with Guardiola and before leaving he gives a lesson to the Manchester City coach. While the Spaniard earns 20 million, Klopp prefers to give up the 30 million he was assured with the next two years left on his contract, to leave his post and rest.
