Many football fans across the world are amazed that despite him being 39 years old, Cristiano Ronaldo continues to showcase his impact on the pitch for his teams. Ronaldo was the best player for Al Nassr this past season and was arguably the best player in the Saudi Pro League. Ronaldo earned a call-up to the Portugal national team for the EUROS 2024, and he is likely to start the games under manager Roberto Martinez. This will be Ronaldo’s sixth EUROS of his career, and he is as motivated as ever. Although keeping his fitness high is necessary to maintain a good level, he reveals that he always needs to work on adapting his game at every team or game he plays. Ronaldo said, “I think I’m a complete player, but there’s always something I can improve. It is no coincidence that I have been playing at the highest level for 20 years, and maintaining this performance is very difficult. As we get older, there are things we were not good at in the past and we start to lose some skills, so it’s important that we try to adapt.”

Ronaldo continues to talk about adaptability as the key thing to keep him playing at a high level, like the Portugal national team, filled with stars that play in the best teams in Europe. CR7 said, “That’s the key word. If a player wants to have longevity in football, he must have a strong ability to adapt and the characteristics of that adaptation.”

The Al Nassr striker acknowledged that one of his best traits is his leadership skills, and he likes to show his skills on the pitch rather than convince people that he is one of the greatest footballers of all time. Ronaldo said, “I like to give examples. I don’t talk a lot, but I like to show who I am. When things aren’t going well, you need to know when to discipline them and when to support them. But when things are going well, you have to be with them and work together.”

Cristiano Ronaldo on his 6th EUROS

Ronaldo is making history as he will play his 6th EUROS tournament, the most of any player. The Portuguese striker talked about the achievement and said, “I am proud to be the first player to participate in six Euro tournaments. I am happy about this because it shows the longevity of my career. However, this is just one chapter of what Cristiano Ronaldo has achieved in football. I am happy and feel proud to be here to help the national team achieve its goals, and of course trying to move forward and get the win, which is our main goal.”
