Last summer Real Madrid paid over $110 million to Borussia Dortmund to buy Jude Bellingham. The young midfielder had shown excellent performances in the Bundesliga and with the England national team under Gareth Southgate, so he had become one of the most coveted players by top European clubs.

Los Merengues were confident in his talent and believed that, with a little time, he was going to be an important player for the team. But no one expected things to work out so well and so quickly. In just a few months Jude took over the responsibility of leading the team, making everyone forget Karim Benzema thanks to his goals and even replacing Vinicius Junior when he was injured.

This earned him the love of the fans, who every week enjoy his talent and every time they get the chance they sing 'Hey Jude' at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium to pay tribute to him. This obviously makes the young midfielder happy, but sometimes the displays of affection can be a bit over the top.

A video was recently shared on social media recorded by Spanish fans who were stopped at a traffic light on Paseo de la Castellana in Madrid. Next to them was a luxurious black car and inside was Bellingham in the passenger seat and his mother Denise driving. Upon seeing him, the fans greeted him and he responded with a smile. But then something unexpected happened: they all started to get out of their car to approach the Real Madrid player and take selfies with him, making him stop even though the traffic light had already changed.

He doesn't always drive

A few weeks after the start of the season, the Real Madrid players each had the opportunity to choose a car from the German company BMW, which has a commercial agreement with the Spanish side. Jude Bellingham chose an XM model valued at almost $200,000. However, he often prefers his mother to drive, and even goes to training sessions in a cab.
