Saudi football has blossomed as one of the most expensive competitions in the planet, regarding the high salaries the main teams in the league are able to pay to the top players to convince them to join the tournament, having received in the last few months, football superstars such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar Jr or Benzema.

In this sense, the Saudi Pro League would have recently completed one more proof of their financial wealth by including one of their clubs on the first positions of the ranking of institution with the highest expenses in transfers, which would be led by Chelsea after an incredible €467 million spent in transfers according to Transfermarkt.

Following these sources, the current club of Neymar Junior, Al Hilal, would be the second institution placed in this ranking, having spent a total of €376 million once the signing of Renan Lodi from Atletico for €23 million was included. The Saudi club would have spent more than Real Madrid or FC Barcelona, overtaking even the numbers of Al Nassr, the club of Cristiano Ronaldo.

The millions spent by Al Nassr

According to Transfermarkt, Al Nassr spent more millions in transfers than the Spanish giants, having destined €165 million to transfers and being on the 11th position of the ranking ahead of Real Madrid (€129 million) and FC Barcelona(€43 million), at the 15th and the 56th position respectively.
