One of these iconic cars sold for a record price of $51.7 million. Per Sotheby’s, it was the second most expensive car ever sold at auction, owned for the past 38 years by an American collector. Ralph Lauren and Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason both owned one, according to Ferris Cars and GQ. It is the 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO.
