The man of the match was easily awarded to Vinicius Jr, who scored a 38-minute hat trick in the first half. The Brazilian showcased his best performance in any Clasico game he has ever competed for Real Madrid and gets to celebrate it with a trophy against the rivals. He scored two of those in the first ten minutes of the game, running past Peña to score the first and tapping in the ball after a low cross for the second.

Vinicius gave Ronald Araujo a nightmare as the Uruguayan received two yellow cards for causing fouls on the Brazilian. The first foul was in the box, and the referee awarded Los Blancos a penalty. Vinicius completed the hat trick by scoring from the spot. In the second half, Araujo misses the ball completely and clips Vinicius in the leg. Vinicius gets angry at Araujo for the foul but the ref quickly sends the Barca defender off.

Vinicius' hat trick puts him in the history books for Real Madrid in Clasico games. Other Real Madrid legends like Kaka, Robinho, and the great Ronaldo Nazario have not completed the record he just accomplished.
