Kylian Mbappé has been the main topic in the French national team, but for an unfortunate reason, as he broke his nose in the first game of France in EURO 2024. Many expected him to miss the next game for France in EURO 2024, but the French star is trying his best to make it for the next two matches in the group stage with France. Mbappé has started training with the team ahead of the match against the Netherlands tomorrow. He was seen wearing the brand new mask that was made for him. It has the colors of the French flag and the initial of Mbappé's name. Many are not sure how long he will be wearing the mask, but it is most likely going to be used for the rest of the EUROS, which ends July 14th. Real Madrid is checking to make sure Mbappé is fine enough to be playing next season without the mask, which most likely won't happen since the nose should be fully healed after six weeks.
The French national team manager, Didier Deschamps, was asked about Mbappé's status with his nose injury and if he would be available for the match against the Netherlands. Deschamps said, "I can confirm that Kylian Mbappé is feeling better and all is evolving well to see him available for tomorrow. It’s moving in the right direction."
Many reports after the France vs Austria game suggested that Mbappé would miss the group stage with the national team after he broke his nose. It seemed impossible for him to play against the Netherlands, but slightly possible for him to play against Poland next week. Mbappé trained on his own yesterday, and then today, he trained with the team after traveling with them to Leipzig.
Despite losing Mbappé to a nose injury, France defeated Austria 1-0 in their first match for the tournament. France will play against the Netherlands tomorrow, who also won their first match of the tournament as they won 2-1 against Poland. A win for France tomorrow would secure them a spot in the knockout stages of the tournament.
