The EURO 2024 is a big competition for England and other nations this summer, and Gareth Southgate had to get rid of players off his provisional list, which shocked many fans. One of those players was Jack Grealish, who, despite playing well with England and often performs when he gets the chance. Grealish was a key player for England in the 2022 World Cup, but his disappointing season with Manchester City led to him being cut from the main squad for EURO 2024. The news of him not playing with England this summer was surprising for the English media and some fans, but to his Man City teammate Kyle Walker, it was not a shock. Walker explains that he is shocked that Grealish missed out due to his ability but knows that the manager, Southgate, picks players based on their form and merit with their clubs. Man City fans were not happy with these comments made by Walker and feel that the player should not be too honest in terms of his teammate missing out on EURO 2024.

Pep Guardiola hopes Jack Grealish doesn’t take this comment personally, as the Spanish manager did not play the English winger often due to injuries and his preference for playing Jeremy Doku on the left side. Guardiola and Man City signed Grealish from Aston Villa in the summer of 2021, but some fans believe he has to live up to expectations.

Grealish played a total of 36 matches for Manchester City across all competitions. He scored three goals and provided three assists for Man City this past season and played over 2,000 minutes. Grealish was injured, was not included in the Man City squad, and was often benched. He played 20 matches in the Premier League, but he started in half of them.
