Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is in search of a replacement for Kylian Mbappé, who seems destined to leave the club at the end of the season due to the expiration of his contract. According to reports from Ekrem Konur, PSG are eyeing Rafael Leao as the ideal candidate to fill the spot left by the French star. However, Leao's current club AC Milan are not willing to let the talented 24-year-old Portuguese player leave without a fight.

Leao, whose contract with AC Milan runs until the summer of 2028, has a €175 million termination clause, complicating any transfer attempt. Despite PSG's wishes, it seems that the only way to secure Leao would be to pay such a sum of money, which would make him one of the most expensive transfers in soccer history.

PSG's interest in Leao is partly due to the vision of Luis Enrique, the team's current coach, who sees the Portuguese winger as the perfect complement to his style of play. However, Leao's future will depend on both the player's willingness and PSG's willingness to meet AC Milan's contractual demands.

Luis Enrique's decision

With Mbappé on his way out of PSG, the Parisian club is determined to find a suitable replacement, and Leao figures as a promising option. Although negotiations could prove complicated due to the player's termination clause, PSG are willing to make an effort to secure Leao and strengthen their squad ahead of next season.
