One of those players is Arda Guler, who is presenting Turkey in the EUROS and wants to make a statement. According to Fanatik, Arda Guler has informed Carlo Ancelotti that he wants to play in the Real Madrid pre-season tour no matter what. He doesn't care about his vacation and wants to be given more minutes next season. He wants to play more games and showcase why he would be the ideal replacement for Luka Modric, who looks set to play his final season with Real Madrid.

Real Madrid players are expected to be back to prepare for the preseason around July 15th, a day after the EURO 2024 Final. Guler does not care if Turkey reaches the EURO semifinal because he is committed to playing for Real Madrid as soon as his campaign with his national team is over.

Guler and Turkey are in the Round of 16, and they will be playing against Austria. Turkey finished second in Group F with two wins, zero draws, and one loss. Guler scored one of the best goals of the tournament in the 3-1 win against Georgia in their first match of the tournament.
