Rodriguez's rise on the international stage began to stand out last year when he became Uruguay's hero at the U-20 World Cup, scoring the decisive goal in the final against Italy. At club level, his time with Liverpool Montevideo since his arrival in 2023 has been impressive, with 11 goals in 38 appearances and multiple individual accolades, including the Young Player of the Year award in the Uruguayan League.
