Newcastle United and Manchester City have played an intense first half with three goals! The game started fast for Newcastle United as they were thought to have scored the opener. Isak fed Longstaff a great ball in the box, and the midfielder would poke the ball past Ederson.
The linesman quickly disallowed the goal, and the goal was checked on VAR. VAR confirmed the decision, but Manchester City was not relieved just yet. During the play, Ederson collided with Kyle Walker, who tried blocking the pass and a shot on target. The Brazilian keeper felt a serious pain and couldn't continue. Stefan Ortega replaced him in the 8th minute of the game.
City was getting more comfortable in the game, and their goal would finally arrive. Kyle Walker crosses a low ball into the box for Bernardo Silva, who flicks the ball past Martin Dubravka. It was a brilliant goal, and it looked to be over for Newcastle United. The home team struggled to get possession of the ball, and City looked to grab a second.

In less than ten minutes, Newcastle would change the game completely as Bruno Guimaraes chips a great ball to Isak. Isak runs towards the goal, cuts inside, and curls a beautiful equalizer that makes St. James' Park erupt. Daniel Burn finds Anthony Gordon two minutes later, who curls a shot into the net to complete a quick first-half comeback.
Newcastle were relentless after the second goal and were close to scoring the third. Isak ran past Dias and took a shot, but it was easy for Ortega to save. Newcastle led 2-1 at halftime and currently placed 7th if they can hold on to the win. Man City, on the other hand, would remain third if the score remains the same and could be overtaken by Arsenal and Spurs if both teams win their respective games.
