Real Madrid seems confident to sign Alphonso Davies from Bayern Munich. The Canadian left-back seems to be open to leaving the German giants in order to join Real Madrid this summer. Davies' contract with Bayern expires next year, and Bayern Munich doesn't want to let him go for free. Real Madrid has been monitoring the situation, and the Canadian could join the Spanish giants soon. Bayern is trying to negotiate to renew his contract as soon as possible, but if there is no agreement, the club will be willing to sell him this summer. Bayern Munich wants $54 million for Davies, but Real Madrid knows they could negotiate for a lower price tag since it's most likely that Davies won't renew and is willing to join Real Madrid this or next year.

Bayern Munich's director of sport, Max Eberl, spoke recently about the situation with Alphonso Davies. Eberl said, "We are not under pressure. There's a normal relationship between [the] player and [the] club. This is completely normal. I'm far from negotiating in public. I don't do that and don't want that. We believe we have made a very fair and correct offer. At some point in life, you have to say yes or no. I cannot wait forever and say that the decision will fall from the sky at some point. Decisions have to come from all sides."
Eberl continues as he said, "For me, the club is still the strong part. Accordingly, it is completely legitimate that you have to make a decision at some point, regardless of whether it is Alphonso Davies or another player." Bayern Munich wants to know if Davies will renew by the summer, and while they wait for the answer, Real Madrid has made a low bid for the player.

Diario AS reports that personal terms have been agreed upon between Real Madrid and Alphonso Davies. Real Madrid is offering between $26 and $32 million to Bayern Munich for the player. Bayern Munich is demanding $54 million, and the deal is expected to happen. Bayern may accept a deal lower than $54 million because of the fear of losing Davies for free next year.
