Why isn't Neymar playing in the King's Cup semi-final with Al-Hilal?

Today the round of 32 of the Kings Cup makes its official return with Neymar’s Al-hilal facing a second division Al-Jabalain, and will try to better their record as they have tie twice in Al-Hilal’s previous matches, but, the big absence for today will be Neymar Jr. as he hasn’t been named in the list of XI for this matchup.

Why Nemyar Jr. isn’t in Al-Hilal’s first team for today’s match against Al-Jabalain? A confirmed version hasn’t come out yet, nevertheless, it is no strange that Ney’s performance has disappointed his fans that have been following since his arrival to the Saudi Pro League, as he only has made an assist in his official debut vs Al Riyadh.

Neymar Jr. has been on the spot since Al-Hilal had their second draw when they faced Damak in the seventh week of the Saudi Pro League regular season. According to ‘Sport’ iIt is said that the team’s manager, Jorge Jesús, hasn’t been very pleased with Neymar’s performance and attitude outside and inside the pitch.

After the 1-1 draw versus Damak, Neymar Jr. protested to Al-Hilal’s executives and demanded Jorge Jesus to be fired. Since then, the relationship between Neymar Jr. and Al-Hilal’s manager is said to be broken and it would be one of the main reasons Neymar won’t be playing as first team for today’s matchup.

Al-Hilal has already published photos of the team before the matchup begans, as they are arriving to the facilites in order to prepare for  the first game of the Kings Cup, nevertheless, Neymar Jr. can't be seen in the photos as it seems he didn't even arrived with the team.

Al-Hilal’s XI

Abdulelah-Al Malki and Hyun Soon-Jang, both Al-Hilal’s key players will be sidelined for today’s match as they have been added to the injury reserve list due to a recovery from a torn ACL. Neymar Jr. is not expected to play against Al-Jabalain as he hasn’t been able to prove his millionaire worth since his arrival in August.

Al-Hilal’s has already confirmed their XI first and those are: Bono; Saud, Atambakti, Koulibaly; Shahrani, Salmanaf, Neves, Salem; Malcolm, Alhamdan, Mitrovic.
