Lionel Messi is already experiencing his first months at Inter Miami and it seems that his adventure in the MLS will continue for a little longer. The footballer signed this summer with the American club, with a contract worth 50 million dollars a year. In addition, the player is part of an agreement with Apple in which he generates income from subscription to the Apple TV platform, which owns the rights to Major League Soccer. The reality is that Messi has made the league more attractive, with more ratings and that is why Inter Miami wants to continue growing its project.

In this context, one of the names that has gained a lot of strength in recent hours to wear pink is Luka Modric. The outstanding Croatian footballer has not been playing a leading role in Real Madrid, so much so that in the last victory against Las Palmas he did not play a single minute. Now, the link with Inter Miami was not generated out of nowhere, but was born from some photos that were leaked from a meeting he had with David Beckham recently.

The experienced 38-year-old midfielder rejected offers from Arabia in the last window and has a contract with Merengue until 2024, but the truth is that that link could end sooner because all roads point to Florida. Along the same lines, there was already talk about how he would fit into the squad and it was announced that his salary could be up to 25 euros less than Messi's for a simple reason. According to Salary Sports, there is a major impediment to Modric's salary.

Luka Modric and his current situation to arrive in Miami

As is known, the MLS establishes a salary cap and allows each franchise the possibility of having three players outside of that regulation. This allowed Messi to sign a contract for 50 million dollars per year, as well as Sergio Busquets another for 10 million per season. However, Modric would earn much less. However, there are also plans to relegate franchise players to the club, as happened with Leo Campana. On this occasion, Josef Martínez would be one of the candidates to lose his franchise player status, which would open the spot for Modric.
