Manchester United have a difficult decision to make about the future of Mason Greenwood. The English player is already training after a delicate situation where he experienced a personal accusation for an alleged sexual assault. However, now that the charges against him have been dropped, the club must make a decision soon.

The 21-year-old winger was arrested in January 2022, after obtaining rape and assault charges, for which the club decided to suspend him from his salary and he was removed from discipline. However, this past February the charges against Greenwood were dropped by the key witness, so United decided to carry out an internal investigation to evaluate the case and make a decision about his future.

Mason Greenwood was caught training individually and sources close to the club have indicated that although there is nothing official, Manchester United is expected to welcome him back to the club before the start of the Premier League. However, it is now revealed that the decision will be made by someone else.

What will Manchester United do with Greenwood?

Now, according to The Guardian, the club's next step to see whether or not to reinstate Greenwood to the discipline of the team is to ask for an opinion and discuss the matter with the entire women's Manchester United players. That is, when Mary Eearps, Ella Toone and Katie Zelem return from Worlds, they will discuss with them the possibility of Greenwood returning.
