Real Madrid will face today Real Sociedad at the Santiago Bernabeu’s Stadium for the sixth week of La Liga tournament where they seek to add one more victory to their five win streak and therefore, scale to the top of the standings and overcome Barcelona FC as the leader of the League.

Nonetheless, Real Madrid is kinda patched up due to the absence of three major important players like Thibaut Courtois, Eden Militao and the young striker Vinicius Jr. This will mean a tight matchup against Real Sociedad, also an unbeatable squad until now, having four draws and a victory versus Granada last week.

On Saturday’s pregame press conference, Real Madrid’s manager, Carlo Ancelotti, confirmed that Vinicius Jr.  won´t be available for today’s match, but said that the Brazilian young star will start practicing very soon, probably next week, in order to be prepared for the Classic Spaniard Derbi versus Atletico Madrid.

When will Vini be active?

The Italian manager also confirmed that Vinicius injury is evolving perfectly and soon will be out of the injury reserve, but they don’t want to put him at risk in Real Madrid’s UEFA Champions League debut against Union Berlin.

I don't know the precise day, the reality is that he is recovering very well, we don't want to force his recovery, the scar is fine, the workload is increasing, I think that next week he will start doing some of the work with the team, I I think he will recover within the six weeks that they' ve said.”, stated Carlo Ancelotti at the press conference.

The Brazilian striker has been sharing pictures of his injury evolution, that will soon end the recovery time that was expected. He will have to miss Union Berlin's visit at the Santiago Bernabeu's Stadium for the first date of UEFA Champions League.

But Vinicius Jr. may be back in action for September 24th Spaniard Derbi, where Real Madrid will face Atletico Madrid for the next La Liga's date.
