(VIDEO) Watch Courtois as he is preparing for his return with Real Madrid

The sixth week of La Liga’s tournament has given us many surprises, Girona outstanded 5-2 Mallorca, placing them as second place of the standings. And FC Barcelona had a great 3-2 comeback against Celta Vigo, who almost took away the Culé team's undefeated streak. Real Madrid is preparing for the Classic Spaniard Derby against Atletico Madrid for tomorrow Sunday 24th.

Nevertheless, Real Madrid still doesn’t count with three major key players, such as Eder Militao, the young striker Vinicius Jr. and Thibaut Cuortois, the main goalkeeper that is still recovering from a torn ACL surgery that has kept him away from any sports activity from a month ago and is expected to be out for other six months.

However, Courtois is not on vacation as he is still preparing for his return in 2024, and practicing his reflexes as he is not able to move totally yet.

“I'm very well. In the end you have to be positive and there are worse things in life. I just have to fight, train well and when I have to come back, I will come back”, and the goalkeeper added, “The goal for this season is to play a few more games in May”., said Thibaut Cuortois when he was spotted at ‘La Vuelta’ supporting his fellow compatriot Remco Evenepoel.

What’s next for Real Madrid?

Real Madrid will seek to link up their sixth straight victory and maintain as one of the only three teams who are still undefeated in La Liga’s tournament and will try to displace AFC Barcelona as the top leader of the competition. On the other hand Atletico Madrid is in seventh place with only two victories, one draw and one defeat.

Real Madrid’s schedule is pretty tight after the Metropolitan Derby when they face Las Palmas on Wednesday 27th; then they will host Girona at Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday 30th; and for their second UEFA Champions League appointment will go up against the actual A Series champions, Napoli on Tuesday October the 3rd.
