Toni Kroos manages to close the gap vs Atletico Madrid.

Toni Kroos now puts the first goal (35’) for Real Madrid with a great assist by Federico Valverde in order to close the gap against Atletico Madrid who is currently winning the match 2-1. Real Madrid is now showing signs of life and makes the Metropolitan Derby even more interesting as they want to maintain their undefeated record.

Alvaro Morata has now scored the first goal for Atletico Madrid in the minute 4’ with a great hat-trick and an assist by Lino in the opening drive within just a few minutes since the match started. Morata applies the law of the ex in the Derby, as he used to play for Real Madrid.

Real Madrid hasn’t lost any of its matches in the Spanish tournament, the matchup is still very young and the last time a team thought they had outstanded Madrid, was Union Berlin in the opening week of the UCL, when Jude Bellingham scored in the final minutes of the match.

Antoine Griezmann scored the second goal for Atletico Madrid in the 17’ minute with the second hat-trick of the match, increasing Atletico’s advantage in order to win against Real Madrid for the 2023/2024 Madrid Derby edition.

Real Madrid can’t find its way

Carlo Ancelotti has put a risky 4-1-2-1-2 formation for today’s match against Atletico Madrid, which doesn't seem to don’t have any good results for Blanco's team. Atletico currently dominates the ball possession with a 79% overall compared to only a 7% from Real Madrid.

The match is still very young as the first half is on, but with a clear dominance by Atletico Madrid, who seeks to win their second Spanish Derby from the last 14 they have faced. The last time they were triumphant over Real Madrid was in May 2022 where they won 1-0, and were undefeated through their last six Metropolitan Derbies.
