Today, Lionel Messi went viral on social networks once again, as he had an interview and not with just anyone, but with Zinedine Zidane, at an event sponsored by Adidas. Now, however, it's time to remember the day when Zidane had to kick Lionel Messi.

To tell this story, we have to throw back to the year 2005, in El Clasico, between Real Madrid and Barcelona. What lineup did Real Madrid have at that time? Iker Casillas. Roberto Carlos. Sergio Ramos. David Beckham. Zinedine Zidane. Ronaldo. Robinho. Raúl... almost nothing! Although it seemed difficult for Real Madrid to lose that match, Barcelona had a young Lionel Messi, and a great Ronaldinho.

It was in that match, when 33 minutes into the first half Zinedine Zidane had to kick Lionel Messi to bring him down, well, the Argentine was going to go alone towards the rival goal, so the Frenchman had to foul him, nothing aggressive or violent, simply a tactical foul.

Zidane's compliment to Messi:

“A word that describes Leo? Magic. Today is an important day for me, to tell him the admiration I have for him. For me, who knows about football, seeing someone on the field and you almost know what he is going to do... and when he does it, I say: 'He's done.' Since there is no him, there is only one.”
