The Argentinian has been on fire at the start of the 2022-23 campaign.

Last season was so bad for Lionel Messi that he was not included in the Ballon d'Or 2022 finalists, as he finished with only 11 goals and 14 assists, numbers that we are not accustomed to seeing from the Argentinian. Fortunately, things have changed in the early days of this course, and a great part of this success is thanks to his good friend Neymar, who helped him settle down after a shaky debut season at PSG.

The key to Messi’s success is his relationship with ‘Ney’, one that goes all the way back to the golden days of Barcelona when Pep Guardiola was their manager. At the start of this season, both superstars combine for 13 goals and 13 assists, and the Brazilian has spoken about the transformation that ‘Leo’ has had in Paris.

Thinks he's the best on the team, what Mbappe did to a teammate in the locker room

This is the reason why Mbappe does not pass the ball to Messi and Neymar

“It is difficult to change your life, but I think that now it is improving and it feels like home (Messi). I want him to have fun, and I want us to have fun together.”, stated Neymar, who acknowledge the difficulties that mean coming to a new team after cementing a legacy such as the one Messi did for Barcelona.

The Brazilian is living one of his best starts at PSG since arriving in 2017, as he has already won silverware this campaign and produced more than half of what he scored last season. Also, and mainly the most important part is that he’s healthy and happy, two ingredients that make everything easier on the field for him and his teammates.

Neymar also spoke about his great moment

Things between Messi and Neymar are better than ever, but you can’t say the same for the relationship they both have with Mbappé, this is mainly because of the problems they have experienced on the field. On the bright side, Galtier, PSG’s coach, has ended the rumors stating that the three of them have the best time together. Is that real?
