Joan Laporta appeared before the media at a press conference this Monday at the Auditori 1899. The president of Barcelona delivered a long speech of more than half an hour, in which he attacked many entities and people. One of those that was named, obviously, was the Madrid institution.

The top president had time to send a very direct message to Real Madrid, which he accused of cynicism for going free on the sidelines of the other LaLiga clubs and standing up against Barcelona. In this sense, he recalled the historical link of the merengue entity with the Technical Committee of Referees.

Regarding the action taken by Madrid, Laporta explained: “Everyone knows that Real Madrid is a club that has historically and currently been favored by refereeing errors. It has been considered the club of the regime due to its proximity to political, economic and sports power. For seven decades the presidents of the referees have been ex-members of Madrid”.

He not only spoke about his history, but also about what he will do against Barcelona for the Enríquez Negreira case, the biggest reason why the relationship broke up: "That this club appears in the best period of our club is an exercise of unprecedented cynicism. Hopefully this trial will expose them, unmask them and put them in their place."

The possible last talk with Florentino Pérez

Laporta revealed that he spoke with the president of Real Madrid about the fact that he will appear before the Prosecutor's Office to go against Barcelona. "The FC Barcelona-Real Madrid relationship is harmed and damaged. I want to think that Florentino was under a lot of pressure from his social mass. But a club like that should have endured waiting for the right procedural moment. It does not seem right to me that Madrid is presented as a private accusation, "concluded Laporta.
