Erik Ten Hag and Manchester United are not having the best of times. The Dutch coach has positioned himself in an important way this season and many are beginning to put on the table what could happen if the club is out of the Champions League before the end of the year. The Dutch coach has not managed to translate his idea into his players in the best possible way and it is reflected in the results.

The pressure is growing on Erik ten Hag as the crisis with Manchester United is worsening. The 4-3 defeat to Copenhagen on Wednesday in the Champions League was another blow for the Dutch coach in a season that is increasingly falling apart.

Ten Hag calls that “one moment” to completely change the season. It must happen soon. Manchester United is having the worst start to the season in the last 61 years, when it seemed that at Old Trafford they had found their ideal coach in Erik Ten Hag, the Red Devils have entered a period of negative results that seems to be far from over. 

Manchester United made a bad season worse

The end of the 2022/23 season left a bittersweet taste for United fans, as they finished the Premier League in third place and fell in the Europa League quarter-finals. The results were not the best but they managed to win an EFL Cup. Of course, that campaign was marked by three things. The first was the controversial relationship between Cristiano Ronaldo and Erik Ten Hag, which led to the Portuguese leaving the team.
