Fede Valverde attacked Álex Baena at the end of the match between Real Madrid and Villarreal that ended in a 2-3 victory for the yellows and practically a final goodbye for the Madrid team to LaLiga. The event occurred last Saturday in the parking lot of the buses of both teams, where the rivals meet after the match.

Upon arriving in Castellón, Álex Baena filed a formal complaint for an alleged crime of injuries at a National Police station, the first step to open a criminal investigation that has already caused the police authorities to initiate an act. If sufficient evidence is found, they could refer the facts to a court.

The Uruguayan's defense alludes to a hurtful comment Baena made to him during the second leg of the Copa del Rey quarterfinals. According to Valverde's version, he alluded to the problems in the pregnancy of his wife, Mina Bonino. But Baena denies the accusation and his team also questions it based on the dates on which these problems were known.

Regarding the complaint, according to 'El Confidencial', the first official document on the incident between Fede Valverde and Álex Baena includes an allusion to "previous friction" between the two players. That was what was recorded in the first minutes drawn up by the agents who were required to be acting that night at the Madrid stadium.

The moment the police found out about the incident

The Police came because of a punch, although a previous discussion in the sports field was previously recorded in the minutes. They were not present at the time of the violent impact, but they assure that they were called by the victim, who informed them that he had been a victim. Both were identified and the record was filled out under Law 19/2007, the usual procedure when an attack of this type occurs on a soccer field or in the surrounding area.
