The rejection of Sevilla fans to Sergio Ramos' signing

Sergio Ramos's return to Sevilla FC has been a cause for celebration among many fans of the club, but not everyone is happy with his arrival. An incident that occurred in 2017 has left a bitter memory between the player and the "Los Biris" fan group, an extremely passionate group of Sevilla FC supporters.

In 2017,  Sergio Ramos while in Real Madrid scored a ‘Panenka’ penalty and made a gesture towards the part of the stands where "Los Biris" were located. This generated resentment among that section of the fans. Although he apologized to other fans, he was not well-received by the group

Now, with his return to Sevilla FC, "Los Biris" have expressed their rejection of Ramos's arrival in a statement on social media. 

Los Biris sent a clear message to Sergio Ramos

In the statement, they state that they deeply reject those who proposed this signing, as they believe it represents a lack of respect for the club's values, colors, symbols, and legends. Also, they point out that even when they don't support his return, he will not be disrespected by the fans by any means during Sevilla games. This incident highlights that, despite Sergio Ramos is back to the club where he began his career, his relationship with certain sectors of the fanbase remains delicate due to past events.
