Manchester City already looks amazing to face the challenging season ahead of them. After winning the treble last season, Pep Guardiola is preparing the ‘sky blue’ team to conquer English football once again. For that, they were very active during the transfer market as they had to prepare the squad after sensitive departures like Ilkay Gundogan signing with FC Barcelona and unexpected injuries like the one suffered by Kevin de Bruyne.

Guardiola's team already looks sharp. They've won their first 4 matches of this Premier League season and are already on top of the tournament 2 points ahead of Liverpool, Tottenham and West Ham.

A very important thing for their fans is that the new signings are already making it into the squad. Mateo Kovacic is a starter, Josko Gvardiol already had minutes, Jeremy Doku made it into the first team and Matheus Nunes was also selected for the game against Fulham. However, English media reported that Manchester City wanted to sign one more player to face this season.
