Real Madrid is living a complicated moment after the defeat against Atlético de Madrid. In a fixture that looked more even, things got complicated for Carlo Ancelotti's team. Similarly, a bad tactical approach caused the white team to be notoriously surpassed by its neighbor, Atlético Madrid.
Given this, many fans are looking for someone to blame on social media. While some blame Ancelotti himself, others look to individual players. However, it should be remembered that soccer is a collective sport and it would be difficult to make a judgment. Despite the defeat, a goal from Toni Kroos excited the team from the Spanish capital to overcome the game in the second half.
Nevertheless, a brace from Alvaro Morata would complicate things for the visiting team. It should be remembered that Morata is a former Real Madrid player and was also formed in the youth ranks of the club. With this said, it could be said that a player who at the time was no longer considered in the club, was in charge of giving the team its first defeat of the season and also cost it the leadership of La Liga.
In the second half, Ancelotti decided to make changes in defense with the departure of Fran Garcia and Lucas Vazquez. Similarly, the income of Joselu and Brahim Diaz helped the team generate more opportunities. Nonetheless, a well-positioned defense of Simeone made it difficult for the visiting team. However, Real Madrid seems not to be satisfied with it and would have expressed it through their television channel.
According to Real Madrid TV, there were some actions of the referee yesterday that went unnoticed and these are the following:
1-Morata's goal should not have counted due to an earlier foul on Jude Bellingham
2-Camavinga's goal was disallowed by an alleged offside by Rudiger who did not intervene at any time in the play
3-A foul by Gimenez was sanctioned with yellow and not red despite complying with the last man rule
4-At minute 66, a shot by Nacho Fernandez hit the hand of Mario Hermoso, despite this, it was not sanctioned with a penalty.
