Pep Guardiola and Erling Haaland had their first flop of the season by losing the Community Shield final against Arsenal. Manchester City will not achieve their goal of winning six championships in one year.

In the game against Arsenal, Erling Haaland played 65 minutes and Pep Guardiola decided to take the Norwegian striker out of the game. This action was quite controversial, and the Spanish press has reported that the soccer player is angry with the coach.

"He is a winner, he has a good mentality," Guardiola said. "He needs minutes and pace. He's so tall and big, moving his body is completely different to Bernardo [Silva] or Phil [Foden] or the other players. He played 60-65 minutes today and I'm pretty sure against Burnley he'll be in better condition ". Pep said at a press conference.

In the pre-season Haaland only scored two goals. The striker has not had a great performance and Pep Guardiola hopes that Erling can improve and become the team's top scorer.

Haaland's numbers in the last season

Erling Haaland scored 52 goals last season, was the Premier League and Champions League scoring champion, won the Golden Boot and is considered the best striker in the world.
