Barça is waiting for Pep Guardiola, but the Catalan coach has other priorities.

Barça is going through a moment of many doubts at a football level and every time these problems appear, people think of Pep Guardiola. The current Manchester City coach is the current European champion and has already achieved everything at club level. Although he still has a contract with the Citizen club, his future does not seem aimed at returning to coach the Blaugrana club.

But what is clear at this point is that Pep Guardiola does not want to return to Barça to replace Xavi Hernández. The City coach wants to continue training and still has a commitment to the English club, but if he ends up leaving the Etihad Stadium bench aside, his destiny would not be Barça, nor would Joan Laporta beg him to return.

The Barça chapter and the club chapter seem to be over for Pep Guardiola, and everything indicates that he will end up coaching the England team, as TodoFichajes.com points out. And the English Federation (FA) would have already had contacts with Guardiola to convince him to take the reins of the English team for next 2024. The idea that is proposed would be that the Catalan coach would be the coach of England after the Euro Cup and already thinking about the road to the next World Cup, which will be held in Canada, the United States and Mexico.

And the continuity of the current English coach, Gareth Southgate, is not assured. And it seems that if England do not win the Euro title it is practically guaranteed that he will leave his position as England coach. And then Pep Guardiola would have free rein to become the big star.

Barça is forced to trust Xavi Hernández

This means that Barça will have to continue suffering and dreaming, because Pep Guardiola will not return as coach. And what is expected is that he does end up returning to the club of his life, but not with the position for which he has stood out the most. He will have a place within the sports or grassroots football structure.
