Joao Mendes de Assis Moreira is the son of Ronaldinho who signed his contract with the Barcelona Football Club to try to write his own path in football after what his father has done, becoming a legend of the blaugrana club and of football in general, being truly unforgettable his speed feints to get rid of his markers, his great goals from mid-distance, his assists, being one of the best players there has been in this century.

Now Joao Mendes, who has a very different name from Ronaldinho in order not to be related to his father, must write his own story and is undoubtedly challenged to get out of his father's shadow, since it is clear that in each first-hand intervention level that he has will come to the mind of the fans to be the son of Ronaldinho.

The truth is that the youngster has already gone through Cruzeiro, Flamengo, the inferiors of Paris Saint Germain -PSG- and now he has signed his contract with FC Barcelona at just 17 years old, but now he must show that he not only achieved that for being Ronaldinho's son, but because he has a natural talent for soccer that can make him stand out in the future in the first team of the blaugrana cast.

And in that sense, Joao Mendes made his debut today in Barcelona's Juvenil B team, having his first game with the blaugrana in an initial match with the Catalan team that was quite positive, but which made it clear that he has a totally different game from Ronaldinho, for whom they expected a creative player with the ball.

The debut of Ronaldinho's son in Barcelona

Joao Mendes helped Barcelona win 3-0 against another Under-19 team, the AFA. The forward shows strong differences with his father, starting with the fact that he is left-handed and not right-handed, that he is not as creative but more decisive, having the arch between his eyebrows. He didn't convert any of the goals, but he was important for the team.
