Messi's close encounter with fans during his vacation in Rosario

Lionel Messi, the Inter Miami star, is enjoying a well-deserved vacation at his home in Rosario, continuing to be the center of attention even in his free time. Despite being in a recess period from the regular phase of the MLS, Messi did not hesitate to interact with his local fans.

Last Monday, the soccer player left his residence and was greeted by a group of enthusiastic children, who sought autographs and shared special moments with the renowned player. The Argentine star, accompanied by his wife, Antonela Roccuzzo, and his children Thiago, Ciro and Mateo, returned to his hometown in Santa Fe shortly before noon last Sunday to spend the Christmas and New Year festivities. 

The season will experience a pause in the summer to give way to the Leagues Cup, a tournament involving teams from the MLS and the Mexican league. This competition will take place from July 26 to August 25 and stands out for the participation of Inter Miami, the team that, under the direction of Lionel Messi, won the victory in the last edition of this tournament.

Despite being on vacation, Messi remains a close and accessible public figure, generating joy among his followers, especially among the youngest. Messi already knows about his opponents

Inter Miami, the team that now features star Lionel Messi, will host the opening match of the 2024 Major League Soccer (MLS) season on February 21, facing Real Salt Lake, according to the schedule announced on Wednesday. This matchup will be the earliest kickoff in the 29-season history of MLS and marks the team's return to form following its Leagues Cup victory last year.
