Manchester City seems to have secured another signing just two days before the end of the transfer window. With the additions of Josko Gvardiol, Jeremy Doku, and Mateo Kovacic, the Citizens aimed to bring in at least one more player to bolster their squad.
Pep Guardiola's team is open to further reinforcements in order to maintain their perfect start to the season and attempt to replicate the strong performance from the previous campaign, where they achieved the treble.
In recent days, there had been much speculation about the potential arrival of Matheus Nunes at Manchester City. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Portuguese player wanted to leave Wolves and join City. However, Mundo Deportivo reported that Wolverhampton rejected a $60 million offer for the player. As a result, Nunes decided not to train with the team anymore.
Nevertheless, today Romano confirmed the inevitable. Matheus Nunes will join Manchester City. Moreover, the transfer details reportedly include the same transfer fee for the player ($60m) plus the signing of Tommy Doyle for $6 million plus 50% of any future sale of the player.
If the deal is done by today, the player could potentially see minutes this weekend when City faces Fulham. Undoubtedly, a significant addition to Guardiola's team.
