Karim Benzema chose the footballer he dreamed of playing with and it's not Messi

Karim Benzema is currently Real Madrid's most respected footballer, he is the club's second all-time goalscorer, behind only Cristiano Ronaldo. Last season he helped the team win the Champions League and the Spanish League, the Frenchman is a player admired by fans.

Before he won the Ballon d'Or in 2021, Karim Benzema was asked to talk about the player he always dreamed of playing with. The Frenchman surprised the journalists with his response because he chose a player from FC Barcelona.

Benzema also admires Zinedine Zidane and Ronaldo Nazario, but the Real Madrid striker was impressed by the talent of Ronaldinho, a footballer who won two Ballon d'Ors and helped Lionel Messi become a legend.
