Joao Félix is grateful with Barca fans for his arrival, look at his words

After an outstanding goal showdown made by the Portuguese National Team against Luxemburgo, where Joao Félix contributed with one of the nine goals made, he is very excited to begin a new season, but this time, being part of his all time favorite team as a kid, Barcelona FC.

Within just 30 minutes on field during the Euro 2024 match against Luxemburgo, Joao demonstrated why Barca chose him; after the match, he had an interview with Sport, where he gave his thoughts about being part of his dream team.

“I feel good, with confidence. Also physically, although I haven't had so many minutes lately. I´m ready to arrive in Barcelona and have a strong start. I want to work to help the team.”, the striker, Joao Félix, said in an interview with Sport.

It is well known the former player of Atletico de Madrid (2021) is a great striker, when asked about which position he will be playing at Xavi´s squad he said, “I feel comfortable playing on the top left side. I´ve been playing in that position for a while now, and I think it's where Xavi likes me to play”.

Félix has already seen action with Barcelona, making his debut against Osasuna and Sadar, “the group has been warm with me. The team is very young, so I'm comfortable with them. There is a very good team that is hungry for winning”, the striker expressed.

Will Joao make a difference?

Barcelona has seen better days since the arrival of Xavi Hernández taking the control of the Culé team, winning 2023 La Liga championship.

Félix says he was excited to play at Camp Nou, but unfortunately it is not available at the moment, he will have to wait and meanwhile make points at Montjuïc where the fans are already waiting for the return of Barcelona.

Joao has demonstrated to be a top A player, being a great portuguese player in Benfica (2019), and winning the UEFA Nations Cup in 2021 with Atletico de Madrid, “of course the UEFA Champions is a real goal. Every title we are set to dispute is a real objective, but we are going step by step, with tranquility.”, Joao Félix said at the end of the interview with Sport.
