How Ter Stegen saved Barcelona against Real Sociedad amidst defensive issues

Real had some very clear chances on the match against Barcelona and goalkeeper Marc Andre Ter Stegen appeared to play a prominent role in the first 45 minutes: first to deny Mikel Morino, who received the ball on the edge of the area and sent a cross shot that Ter Stegen blocked very well. The rebound was picked up by Kubo, who sent it wide. Then it was Silva who received in the area and placed a shot with the inside of the post, but the German saved it in speculator fashion.

At the restart, Barça continued to demonstrate that they have to make too many adjustments to stop suffering in situations that should be controllable. After a foul by Balde on Silva down the flank, Brais nailed the ball from the free kick into Ter Stegen's goal, which was immediately disallowed because of offside. Real came out more connected and with the desire to quickly make a mark: Ter Stegen appeared again in the 58th minute to stop in two times a shot from Merino in the area.

Barça were very stuck in attack until the appearance of Ansu Fati on the pitch. The '10' changed the story and caused, directly and indirectly, the Blaugrana to improve exponentially. He appeared to give a luxury assist for Dembélé, extending with his heel.
