Kylian Mbappé imposed many conditions to stay at PSG this summer and not accept Real Madrid's offer, one of them was to give the team a more "French" identity, with fewer foreigners. Mbappé does not feel comfortable having so many foreigners on the team and would rather have a more European and French-based squad.

According to some sources out of Paris, Mbappé's contract renewal, which gave the player the highest salary in the world, as well as powers and an active voice in PSG's decisions, was finalized after the club made some of the striker's requests come true.

And so PSG had a very busy summer, giving exit to several Argentine and Spanish-speaking players, players with whom Leo Messi has a friendship and with whom he felt comfortable in the locker room and on the pitch.

It is no secret that PSG intends to extend Messi's contract for another year, but the Argentine superstar's decision would be affected by Mbappé's influence on the team.

Messi is left without close friends in PSG

Messi likes to be surrounded by friends and compatriots in his teams. PSG released his closest friends from the team this summer and Messi surely didn't like these actions. So Messi will most likely opt to leave for another team when his contract with PSG expires at the end of the current season. Something Leo will decide after the World Cup.
