According to Forbes, the native of Rosario, Argentina, accumulated $75 million dollars (mdd) in on-field earnings during the last year, more than any other athlete in the world.

His salary with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) alone is worth $35 million dollars a year, which means he earns $738,000 dollars a week, $105,000 dollars a day or $8,790 dollars an hour. Messi also pocketed $25 million dollars when he signed with the French team last summer, the Evening Standard reported.
