The competition between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo seems to be a never-ending story, as opinions are more than divided and when it seems that the debate is finally dying down, a new piece of news appears and revives it. Now, Isaac Hayden, Newcastle star midfielder, chose Ronaldo as the best between the two.

“For me, I have always said Ronaldo. I also like Messi as a player, But Ronaldo made himself, and the important thing for me is why do I think Ronaldo is better? In general, it is not because of the Ballon d'Or, not because of his statistics, and not because of the goals, assists, and all I just mean he came to England and won everything in England, and he went to Spain and won everything in Spain and won five Champions Leagues".

On top of it, he continued: "He went to Italy and won everything in Italy, he did it in three different leagues, you can't compare that, Yes well Messi is a genius, we know that, but he spent pretty much his entire career at Barcelona, yes he went to Paris Saint-Germain but with all due respect I don't think France is ranked in the top 5 leagues in the world anymore it's not the same.”

When does Cristiano Ronaldo play again?

After shining with Portugal and qualifying for EURO2024, Cristiano Ronalfo is back with Al Nassr, his team in Saudi Arabia. This Friday, November 24, Al Nassr and Ronaldo will play against Al-Okhdood, in gameweek number 14 of the Saudi Pro League.
