Coming from Paris Saint-Germain, the Spanish defender arrives as a free agent after a brief stint in Paris, where, although he had good opportunities, he never shone as he did in his best years with Real Madrid.

After weeks of speculation about his future, some Spanish and international outlets predicted that the player might opt for a less competitive league. However, it seems that the Spanish veteran still wants to prove that at 37 years old, he can continue to contribute, and what better place to do it than with the team where he was born.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the central defender had offers from Turkey with Galatasaray and an offer from Saudi Arabia with Neymar's Al Ittihad, where they offered him a salary of $20 million per year. However, the player rejected the offer and chose to return to La Liga Santander.

Mundo Deportivo reports that Ramos will earn approximately $1 million per year, which is nowhere near the salary offered in the Middle Eastern country. There's no doubt that money isn't everything.
