The cycle has come to an end for one of the players from the golden generation of Spanish soccer. Nolito announced his retirement from football after 18 active seasons.

The announcement was made today through social media, stating that it was time to face new challenges. The 36-year-old player has worn the jerseys of teams like Barcelona, Manchester City, Benfica, Granada, Sevilla, among others.

The forward was part of the Barcelona team that won the Champions League in 2011 under the guidance of Pep Guardiola. Their relationship was so good that the Spanish manager recruited his compatriot to play for Manchester City during the 2016-2017 season.

Among his most notable achievements are 1 Champions League, 1 Spanish Super Cup, and 1 La Liga title. Additionally, according to Fichajes, Nolito scored 84 goals through his entire career. His last team was U.D Ibiza from Spanish Third Division.
