Real Madrid is very attentive to the continuity of Luka Modric, who could leave the institution in the next transfer market due to his little participation within the team. In a recent interview, the Croatian midfielder left open the possibility of leaving in winter: "I wouldn't like to get into that now, there is still a lot of time until winter and the end of the year. I have said it many times, at my age you can't plan nothing in advance, we have to go one day at a time from game to game and we will see what the future holds".

The truth is that Modric is considering leaving Real Madrid to be able to think about the last years of his career where offers from the Saudi Arabian league and the MLS will seek to tempt him. Very different happens with his midfield partner, Toni Kroos, a footballer who has shown great performance during this first part of the season despite his 33 years and as reported by Defensa Central, the board plans to renew his contract until 2025.

Kroos will not make a decision until his contract is about to come to an end, since his desire is to retire at Real Madrid but playing at a good level and not being discarded by the coach. But what Kroos is clear about is that Merengue will be the last club he plays for: "If I leave Madrid it is to retire, I wouldn't go to another club for all the money in the world", the German reportedly told his companions.

The English giant that Kroos would have rejected

After directing him at Bayern Munich, Josep Guardiola became interested in Toni Kroos for what is to come, especially to fill the place left vacant by Ilkay Gündogan after his departure to FC Barcelona. Manchester City offered him a higher contract than Real Madrid, but the truth is that his priority is not money, but that he will seek to retire at the top.
