Real Madrid has a talented goalkeeper on its agenda who has been one of the great revelations of 2023. The Spanish team has been closely monitoring a South American goalkeeper who could end up arriving at the end of the season since at the moment, there are no plans to extend Kepa's stay and trust that Courtois will return healthy.

Real Madrid continues with its strategy of looking for young talents, and according to Relevo, they currently have Randall Rodríguez, the substitute goalkeeper of the Peñarol team and Under-20 world champion with Uruguay, on their radar. His outstanding development in recent months, particularly after his outstanding performance at the U-20 World Cup in Argentina last summer, has caught the attention of the Merengue club.

Although formal contacts have not yet been established between the clubs, Madrid's strategy would focus on signing the 20-year-old Uruguayan goalkeeper for its reserve team, Castilla. Following the same line as with players like Valverde, the idea would be to allow him to mature and develop in the reserve team during his first years in Europe, with a view to an eventual transition to the first team.

Real Madrid continues to focus on South America

Real Madrid's intention would be to incorporate Rodríguez into Castilla as part of their development plan, offering him the opportunity to adapt to European football and gain experience in the reserve team before considering his possible promotion to the first team in the future, in a new bet on South American football to strengthen its squad for the future.
