From not having anywhere to eat, Cristiano's new multimillion-dollar business

Cristiano Ronaldo, like many footballers, has had a very hard childhood where he barely had enough to eat at home. So much so that a former teammate of his mentioned that when they played for Sporting Lisboa, they both abandoned training to go to a fast food house to eat hamburgers that had been left over from the customers who had paid for them.

“When we played for Sporting we lived in the academy, we lived in the stadium. At night we went to a fast food house to pick up the hamburgers that no one wanted anymore and that were not good to sell", confessed Fabio Paim, one of 'Cris's' great friends. He then added: “We were there every night for the burgers. Sporting knew it. It's not like today. They allowed us to leave”.

Today, this has changed completely and thanks to his great football career, Cristiano has managed to become one of the people with the most money in the world. He is currently the highest-paid soccer player in the world, earning 200 million euros annually just for the contract he signed with Al-Nassr at the beginning of the year. However, Ronaldo does not want to sit idly by and announced a new business that will leave him millions.

According to information from Mundo Deportivo, Cristiano Ronaldo has finally decided to enter the world of electronic sports. Mohammed bin Salman, crown prince of Saudi Arabia, together with the Portuguese and Gianni Infantino, president of FIFA, announced plans for the launch of the Esports World Cup, an annual event that will take place in Riyadh from of the year 2024. “The tournament will contribute more than 50 billion rials (around 13,328 million dollars) to the gross domestic product (GDP) in 2030, in addition to providing more than 39,000 new job opportunities in the sector”, they say from the Middle East.
