Former France manager Raymond Domenech has lauded Lionel Messi, saying the Paris Saint-Germain star is the most wonderful player he has ever seen in his life. Messi is enjoying a resurgent season with the Parisians this term and appears to be back to his very best, scoring 11 goals and assisting 12 times this season.

The 35-year-old is the only player to score 10+ goals and deliver 10+ assists in all competitions among players in the Top 5 European leagues this season, per Opta Joe. The Argentine genius continued his fine form in his side's most recent win over Maccabi Haifa, scoring a brace and setting up Neymar and Carlos Soler.

"First of all, for me, Messi is the most wonderful player I have ever seen. He is able to do everything that hasn't been seen. There are players that do interesting things but he does things that we haven't seen before." Meanwhile, Messi has now been hailed as PSG’s main threat this season, as Domenech believes the Argentine is the Parisians match-winner.

Domenech rated Messi ahead of fellow Frenchman Kylian Mbappe, despite the fact the 23-year-old has scored more goals for the Ligue 1 champions. Messi is gradually turning his doubters into his praise singers, following his improved form for Paris Saint-Germain this season. Messi has emerged on the radar of two English Premier League clubs.

Can Messi speak English?

The Paris Saint-Germain forward will become a free agent at the end of this season. He signed a two-year contract when he joined the French giants from Barcelona last year. Chelsea and Manchester United have emerged as potential suitors for the Argentinian. It remains to be seen whether Messi will learn English at this late stage of his career.
