Erling Haaland is one of the best strikers today. The Norwegian is one of those called to conquer the elite of soccer in the coming years and at his young age, he already knows what it is to win a Premier League and a UEFA Champions League being a total reference of the team. Now, it is surprising what the player says about who is one of his great references.

There is no doubt that the last 10 years have been dominated by Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. The players were the stars of two of the most important teams in the world and never tired of scoring goals and winning titles. For this reason, for many they are one of the great references today, but unexpectedly, Erling Haaland confesses to have admiration for another player.

It is precisely Robert Lewandowski, one of the few strikers who managed to average in some seasons records similar to those of Messi and Ronaldo. In fact, Haaland experienced it up close during his time at Borussia Dortmund when Lewandowski was his great rival and played for Bayern Munich. There, he was able to notice the Polish striker's goal-scoring ability.

What did Haaland have to say about Lewandowski?

In an interview for ViaPlay Football with Jan Aage Fjoroft, the young Norwegian attacker had this to say about Lewandowski, "The man is crazy. He scores hat-tricks like it's an everyday thing. What he does is crazy. The man is crazy... he's just crazy," said the Manchester City striker about the now FC Barcelona player.
