De Jong's comments bring smiles to Lewandowski's faces but put Manchester United on alert

In the current transfer market, two names move millions of euros and the faith of many fans: Robert Lewandowski, who wants to leave Bayern Munich, and Frenkie de Jong, who is not so convinced about leaving FC Barcelona.

And it is that the case of the first is very different from the second. Robert Lewandowski is in an internal war with his club because the player has already expressed his desire to leave for another team, something that the Bayern board has not taken in the best way and there was already a position by the club's president, Herbert Hainer, who reiterated that the German club will not let Robert Lewandowski leave this summer, even though the player, who has a contract until 2023, has said that he considers his adventure with the Bavarian team finished.

On the other hand, Frenkie de Jong also wants to leave his club, FC Barcelona however he is not at odds with his club who will gladly sell him as it will mean that the financially troubled team will receive a considerable sum of money. But some of De Jong's statements have put the operation on alert. 

What Frenkie de Jong said and why United was scared off

According to an interview De Jong gave to TVP Sport, he would be happy to play for FC Barcelona with Robert Lewandowski, whom he considers an incredible player. "He is an incredible player, one of the best in the world. The decision he will make belongs to him alone. Anyway, I would love to see Lewandowski in my team," were the words with which the Dutch midfielder put Manchester United on alert.
This is because the arrival of Frenkie de Jong is something United has long sought, but if he were to stay in Barcelona and seek to play with Lewandowski, it would scupper the whole operation.
