Dani Alves is one of the most remembered players in the history of Barcelona. The Brazilian winger is part of one of the best periods of the 'culé' club where he had the opportunity to win the UEFA Champions League and also La Liga. The now Pumas player said goodbye to Camp Nou in an emotional ceremony.

“Una vez culé, culé para siempre” (Once a culé, forever a culé). With this phrase 'tattooed' on his heart, Dani Alves returned to what was his home for more than eight years. He did it with Pumas UNAM in a very special Joan Gamper Trophy that served for FC Barcelona and its fans to say goodbye to the Brazilian as what he is: a legend.

As soon as he stepped on the pitch before the warm-up, Alves received the applause of the Camp Nou. He climbed on Ter Stegen's back and, once down, he walked around the pitch making funny faces and sending hearts drawn in the air with gestures to the public present in the azulgrana temple.

The stadium's loudspeakers announced that the Brazilian was about to receive a tribute. A video of his best moments at Barcelona and a voice-over said: "Thank you for everything you have given us over the years. Receive this applause from what will always be your fans”.

Farewell to a Barça legend

Unable to hold back tears of emotion and joy, Alves hugged each of his former teammates, the new signings and Joan Laporta. The president gave him a plaque with a souvenir inscription and the captain, Sergio Busquets, a shirt with the number '431', the number of games he has played for Barça. This will always be his home.
